KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A Democratic candidate has started her campaign for Michigan's 66th House District seat.
Annie Brown is a resident of South Haven and currently serves as a school board member there, but she's hoping to serve in the Michigan House. She was joined by fellow Democrats Representative Sean McCann and former Representative Ed LaForge in making her announcement Monday morning.
KALAMAZOO, MI — South Haven School Board trustee Annie Brown announced today that she will run as a Democratic candidate for the 66th District state House seat.
“I’m honored,” said Brown, who has served the South Haven School Board for eight years. “It’s truly humbling to be the Democratic candidate for House District 66 and I am ready to get to work in our neighborhoods."
The 66th district, which includes all of Van Buren County and the city of Parchment and Alamo and Cooper townships in Kalamazoo County, is currently represented by Republican Aric Nesbitt.
